Bible Verses About Faith
Reflection
Faith is trust that takes God at His word—even when sight says otherwise. Hebrews calls it the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. It is not blind leap; it is clear-eyed reliance on a faithful God.
Across Scripture, ordinary people step forward because God has spoken: Abraham leaves home, Moses stands before Pharaoh, a woman reaches for Jesus’ cloak, a church plants itself in hostile soil. Faith is never a solo performance. It is sustained by hearing the Word, by the Spirit’s help, and by a community that keeps pointing to Christ. James reminds us that living faith works; Paul insists we are justified by faith apart from earning. Both truths belong together in a life that clings to grace and then walks it out.
These verses are for doubters and disciples, for beginners and the battle-worn. Let them nourish a trust that looks beyond the visible and rests in the One who cannot lie. Small faith in a great Savior moves mountains—and more often, it simply takes the next obedient step.
