Bible Verses About Healing

39 passages BSB

Reflection

Healing in Scripture is both physical and spiritual—the mending of bodies, minds, and broken relationships with God. It is never cheapened into a slogan; it is woven into the story of a God who restores.

Throughout the Bible we meet people who cry out from sickness, grief, and shame—and a Lord who hears. The Psalms name wounds honestly. Isaiah speaks of stripes that bring healing. Jesus’ ministry overflows with compassion for the sick and the outcast. James calls the church to pray over one another. Sometimes healing comes swiftly; sometimes it unfolds as patience, community, and hope sustained over time. Always it points beyond temporary relief to the deeper cure of the gospel.

These verses are for hospital corridors, quiet bedrooms, and the long work of recovery. They invite you to ask boldly, to trust deeply, and to remember that even when outcomes differ from our requests, Christ remains the wounded healer who will one day wipe every tear. Bring your need. The God who made you still delights to make whole.
