Bible Verses About Strength

35 passages BSB

Reflection

Strength in the Christian life is rarely about muscle or swagger. It is about depending on a God who is strong when we are not.

Scripture celebrates the weak who lean hard on the Lord. David found strength in God when he was emptied by grief. Isaiah promised renewed power to those who wait on the Lord—wings like eagles for the weary. Paul discovered that Christ’s power is made perfect in weakness, and so he could boast in the very places that once shamed him. True strength is Spirit-born courage to love, endure, forgive, and keep going.

If you feel depleted—by caregiving, by calling, by ordinary life—these verses are for you. They do not demand that you manufacture energy; they point you to the One who supplies it. Read them when your hands hang down. Let them lift your gaze. The same God who spoke galaxies into being delights to strengthen a single heart that trusts Him today.
